My mother was diagnosed with dementia years ago. My sister says if she talks to Mom long enough, she can still find some of her in there, but I haven’t been able to do that for a long time now.

All the chills. I’m so sorry, Jack. Losing the mind is one of the worst things that can happen to a family. (Saying this as I know it affects every individual who is close.)
