I still consider myself a newbie writer. Every week I am learning, and I find the process itself fascinating. Poetry is my first love, and I’ve slowly branched into writing larger pieces, which are enjoyable in different ways!

I also lose interest in stories that have too many descriptors. For me, I try to get the story down and add in more details later as needed. Or take out if it seems to drag. It’s probably about 50/50 for me in writing vs. editing. What about you?

Personally (and this is a general statement here), I think that most descriptors pack more punch if contained to one or two lines, max.
