I went to my buy/resell bookstore a couple weeks back with a huge mound of (mostly) hardcover craft books in the $20–30 range, thinking for sure I’d get a large payout. So such luck.

Apparently they were inundated with such books, and only wanted a couple (Thich Nhat Hanh & the Dalai Lama sat there, looking on sadly) and after the $9 I spent, I also got $6.

Woo hoo?! Not so much… They had buzzered me right off the stage.
