Typewriter poetry — photo, my own

Anyone who knows me knows that I am slow to process.

Thoughts, ideas, especially emotions. Sometimes this temple that is my body can’t handle this world’s negativity and shuts it out until it can deal.

Well, I can’t deal. How is anyone dealing right now?

But this isn’t about me. This is not a rant but a pledge. See above. The only thing within my power to do right now is share my voice.

I hold myself accountable every day of my life. There will be no true peace in this country or any other until we can see one another without inside filters, judgments, or boundaries.

I have none. Will you do the same?

The only way forward is through peace and acceptance. Once you accept that you are not above any one person in this world, you are free.

When you meet someone where they are and stare into the solar system of their eyes, what do you see?

You see yourself, reflected.
