Don’t

tell me no

tell me yes

tell me you’re all in

all or nothing, even when

all signs are shaking ripe off the clementine

trees we’ve been chewing those seeds long

after the fruit slid away back to where all

this started down below in the rumblings you ignored

where I saw you scraping the bottom

of the cherry jar we battled our

way back only to find

out that all the no’s

were only the ones

we told ourselves

every yes on

hold for now

to say

“do”
